Collection: Jenny Smith-McOnie

Jenny attended Leeds College of Art and Design before achieving a first class degree in Fashion Design from the University of East London in 2006.  Her training in fashion design has influenced the colourful, illustrative nature of her prints and their emphasis on texture.

After graduating, Jenny worked in fashion retail buying before doing a part-time course in printmaking at the University of Hertfordshire and becoming a full time printmaker in 2011.

Although now living in Sheffield, Jenny is inspired by the stunning natural beauty in Wigtownshire, her family home, with much of her recent work exploring the diverse coastal landscape of the Machars. She is particularly interested in the rich textures and constantly changing colours that can be seen in the area.
